Darwin Initiative
The Darwin Initiative, a DEFRA funded conservation grant scheme, under CBD, funded our research project Bees, biodiversity and livelihoods in South India. This project ran from 2006-2009 and was delivered in partnership with Keystone Foundation India, University of East Anglia, UK and CAER, Universty of Reading, UK.

Comic Relief
Comic Relief funded the project Strengthening Trade in honey in Uganda. This successful pilot project was completed at the end of 2008.

Big Lottery Fund
Bees for Development Trust received a grant from the Big Lottery Fund to help finance research into the value and potential of honey and beeswax trade for the war-torn communities in Southern Sudan. This work was completed in July 2008.

Department for International Development
Bees for Development, with partners in Mozambique, Zambia and Wales, received a Business Link Challenge Fund grant from DFID for 2005-07. This grant facilitated research and development work helping to overcome challenges to importing Zambian honey to the UK.
